The National Alliance on Mental Illness offers a free class for parents

NAMI in Santa Cruz County is offering a free, six-week Zoom course for parents and caregivers of youth (11-17) with mental health conditions on Thursday evenings starting September 30, 6:00-8:30pm. Advance signup is required.
Topics include:
  • Managing crises, solving problems and communicating effectively
  • Critical strategies for taking care of children and learning the ropes of recovery
  • Self-care and stress management
  • Developing the confidence and stamina to support children with compassion
