Student Amelia Busenhart Performs in SCBT’s “The Nutcracker”

Kudos to Mount Madonna School ninth grader Amelia Busenhart who recently performed in Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre’s (SCBT) production of The Nutcracker .

Cast in multiple roles, Amelia danced gracefully as Ballet Doll, Arabian, Snowflake, Flowers and Marzipan.

SCBT features a fully professional union orchestra for its annual holiday show, a rarity among pre-professional companies in this country. The orchestra was conducted by Maestro Pamela Martin. The production featured choreography by Robert Kelley and starred SCBT alumna and Houston Ballet principal dancer Melody Mennite and Houston Ballet principal dancer Joseph Walsh.
