Brigg Busenhart had 16 kills and the Mount Madonna School boys volleyball team prevailed over visiting Pacific Collegiate, 26-24, 25-23, 23-25, 25-21, in the teams’ Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League opener on Wednesday night.

The Pumas (4-2, 0-1), the defending SCCAL and Central Coast Section Division II champions, led 9-0 in the first set and 20-13 in the fourth.

Jordan Willis added nine kills and Sage Turner had 17 digs for Mount Madonna (2-1, 1-0), which hosts Aptos on Friday at 6:30 p.m. PCS hosts Santa Cruz at the same time. Read More
