WATSONVILLE – Act like you’ve been there before. That’s what championship teams are supposed to do, and Mount Madonna School’s girls volleyball team did just that – right up until the players rushed the Watsonville High court in a screaming, crying, heaving mass.

If the Hawks looked like they had been in the Central Coast Section title game before, it’s because they had been, just last year, though they hadn’t gotten to celebrate that time. And the way the Hawks played Saturday in winning the Division V championship, they may want to circle the first Saturday in November for a few years to come. Read more
