Santa Cruz Sentinel, 10/12/2018, “Local Roundup: Boys Cross Country.”

Ross leads Scotts Valley: Mitchell Ross recorded a time of 17:41 to place first overall during a three-team SCCAL meet at Mount Madonna on Thursday.

Scotts Valley, which earned the top eight places, defeated both Santa Cruz and Mount Madonna 15-50. Santa Cruz defeated Mount Madonna, meanwhile, 18-46.

Falcons Rishi Chandiramani, Patrick Goodrich, Darren Mudge, Alex Hitzeman, Lucas Berg-Mills, Jeremy Kain and Logan Ross earned Nos. 2-8, each clocking a time of 18:41.

Santa Cruz’s Hunter Kelly was ninth overall in 19:05, while Raymond Brookman was second on the team, 12th overall, in 19:33.

Noah Kaplan (20:34) led the way for Mount Madonna, in 14th place overall.
