Register-Pajaronian: Hawks Shine in Alvarez High Volleyball Tourney

Register-Pajaronian, 10/14/2019, Weekend Roundup: Hawks Shine in Alvarez High Volleyball Tourney,” by Juan Reyes.

The Mount Madonna girls’ volleyball team competed through blood, sweat and tears in this past weekend’s Everett Alvarez High Varsity Volleyball Tournament.

A collision in the first game between two Hawks players resulted in a bloody head injury. But they recovered and helped the team take first place in the gold division.

Mt. Madonna defeated Alvarez on Saturday in two sets, 25-19, 25-22, in the finals. The Hawks finished 4-0 for the day, losing just one set against Watsonville in their first match.
