Ramayana 2016: NEW – Important Student Guidelines at the Theater

We have put in place a few new guidelines for our students. Parents please check that your children are aware of the new parameters.

We ask that all parents, staff and students support this process.

The theater is a professional place – Students are here to experience all aspects of performance including respectful behavior in the theater, the Pavilion and surrounding gardens. Please help to support respectful behavior by communicating with any student who needs to be reminded.

We will have “live feed” set up in the Pavilion and backstage, which means students can watch the production as it is happening. It is encouraged that they do watch.

NO STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE ENCLOSED AREA OF THE PLAZA OR THEATER

  • Students need to remain in the Pavilion, Garden area or backstage; they are not to venture near the exits, into the plaza, the lobby or the theater. Under no circumstances are the students allowed to walk, drive or be driven from the theater grounds.
  • Pizza or Burritos will be on sale (by pre-order) from 1-3 pm only per the Directors release of students at the Reflection Pond, Monday and Tuesday. Drinks also available for sale.
  • Wednesday (1-3pm only), Thursday through Sunday food is on sale at the concession stand behind the Pavilion for students.
  • Students must eat before they put on their “beards”.
  • Students can bring their own bag lunches and extra food.
  • No bullying – student may be “pulled” from the show if necessary.
  • Do not allow students to throw anything in the Reflection Pool, including not going in the water themselves.
  • No climbing trees, no picking flowers or fruit, no pulling up plants
  • Noise – Try to keep noise level down, people need to hear their cues
  • Once kids are in costume – kids need to remain in designated spaces in the Pavilion or backstage, not visible to the public
  • No skateboarding
