Nicole Nascimento (’12) Earns Doctorate of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine

Congratulations to Nicole Nascimento, Mount Madonna class of 2012, who graduated in December 2020 with a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University.

“Naturally, I pursued a clinical focus in women’s health and fertility enhancement, given that my undergraduate degree from the University of Redlands is reproductive and child health studies,” shared Nascimento. “The last year of my clinical training was in a inpatient rehabilitation facility, Janus of Santa Cruz, where I practiced acupuncture detoxification in a community health setting, utilizing the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association protocol.

“I’m currently studying for my licensing exam, and am in the process of becoming a certified acupuncture detoxification specialist in the field of addiction medicine. My hope for the next two to three years is to have practice that focuses on women’s health and addiction medicine.”
