MMS Student to Perform in SCBT’s “In Concert”

Mount Madonna School freshman Milana Beck, will be dancing in Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre’s (SCBT) upcoming production of “In Concert,” a mixed repertory of performances, April 8 at the Crocker Theater, Cabrillo College.

Milana, a dance student with The Studio, School of Classical Ballet, in Santa Cruz since she was five, is part of the Senior Company at SCBT, and will dance in all mixed pieces. She is the lead dancer for “Turbulent Passages,” a premier by Robert Kelley, and is also featured in the romantic “Peasant Pas de Deux” from “Giselle” and “End Of A Year” by Eva Stone.

“I love to dance,” said Milana. “Dancing allows me the freedom to express myself non-verbally, through emotions I feel with the music and its rhythm. For me, it’s pure bliss.”

Tickets are available online, by phone, (831) 479-6154 or at the door. Performances will be at 2:00pm and 6:00pm.
