Running Strong: Middle School Cross Country

The middle school cross country team, led by Coach Nicole Silva Culbertson, competes in the Pajaro Valley Athletic League (PVAL). Following are some results from their first two meets this past week.

Wednesday, 9/25 meet at Pinto Lake: Pierce C. came in second and Kenzie C. came in third in the JV race. Teammates Mordecai C., Tej D., Colby C., Izaak O. and Nikowa D. took second place (out of seven teams) in PVAL.

Thursday, 9/26 at Wilder Ranch: In this broader meet, MMS competed with an array of Santa Cruz county schools, as well as schools from the San Jose area. Kenzie C. finished in fifth place and Pierce C. in seventh place. The team of Kenzie C., Pierce C., Lagi H., Emi L., Ona M., and Emma M, took second place.  Tej D. finished seventh, Mordecai C. finished 14th and Colby C. finished 15th.
