Featured Video: Umbono Project Learning Journey to South Africa

An overview video of our student’s Umbono Project learning journey to South Africa in June 2019. The trip included several interviews with prominent figures in South Africa such as Mamphela Ramphele, Thulani Mabaso, Pregs Govender, and Piet Meiring.

Students also brought donation bags and spent time with children at Philani in Cape Town, and Botshabelo Children’s AIDS village outside Johannesburg. They visited a performing arts center in Tembisa, learning the importance of music and song in the South African culture, and finished with a safari in Pilanesburg National Park. – Video by Devin Kumar (’06)
