Background:

We are asking all members of our school community to please support Mount Madonna School in 2 ways with 1 gift by making a donation to the Annual Giving + Capital Campaign.

We appreciate each family’s commitment to Mount Madonna School and your child(ren)’s education. Our students benefit from small class sizes, a beautiful and safe learning environment, dedicated teachers, a robust performing arts program, music, art, a premiere volleyball program and extensive learning journeys — all designed to enrich our students’ lives and cultivate in them the perseverance, creativity and integrity to lead a meaningful life.

Each year, we ask our families to participate in Mount Madonna School’s Annual Giving Campaign. We are sensitive to the financial obligation of sending a child to private school and intentionally set tuition at 85% of the actual price of educating your son or daughter. Our Annual Giving program allows families to make a tax-deductible contribution to help offset the school’s operating costs. We are asking for your support of this annual fund drive, as well as for another vitally important campaign.

This year and last, we have chosen to combine our Capital Campaign with Annual Giving, setting a goal of $450,000. Through generous gifts of our board members, parents, grandparents, alumni, staff and friends, we’ve raised more than three quarters of the costs of the new multipurpose gymnasium. Together with external funding strategies, the combined Capital and Annual Campaign allows us to ensure completion of the gym and also continue to cover our operating costs.

The success of this dual campaign depends on each member of our community. We are asking you to make a significant financial commitment with a gift or pledge (gifts in the amount of $5,000 or more may be payable over two or more years). Your gift may be paid in installments — and your meaningful contribution will allow us to make substantial headway in completing the capital campaign and still cover operating costs. Your pledge now will enable us to obtain the financing for construction immediately, allowing us to complete the building of the gym sooner.
