"Ramayana" Onstage: Celebrating 35 Years of Magic
Enduring 2600 years as one of the world's most widely-read classics, Ramayana! tells the story of Prince Ram, who, banished from his kingdom, leaves with his true love Sita and brother Lakshman to find a new home.

Colorful, education and very entertaining - the reviews are in, and "Journey to India," the elementary school's Cultural Awareness performance, was a rousing success! Our talented young studentsdid an amazing job of bring their learning on India's culture, history and stories to life onstage.

CASTING REFLECTIONS:
Congratulations to all for completing the audition process. You’ve done your part; hopefully you can acknowledge your growth and successes within the process. Now comes the next step: casting of the play. Casting is challenging for both performers and directors. For some, this will not be a big issue, while others may experience disappointment. The key is finding a way to move forward positively. Most have heard the statement before - every role is pivotally important - and while a bit of a cliché, it is proven true.

Ramayana Playbill Ad Space
Ramayana! playbill ad space is now available! Advertise your business, congratulate your student or write a message of your choice on a 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 or full page on the Ramayana Playbill.
Over 2000 playbills will be printed and given out at the Ramayana and used in MMS inquiry packets through out the year.

Important Notes
- Auditions begin Monday, 2/4- Dance first, then Song, followed by Scenes-Monologues. Be prepared!
- To be eligible for A in 3rd Quarter and Lead role, High School do all components. Middle School, dance + one of two elements (Song or Scene/Monologue). Songs-scenes/monologues memorized and from Ramayana only.

Multimedia Artist Engages Students with 'Sensory' Art Workshop
“Try to hold still,” urges a sophomore girl sitting across from a classmate, as she carefully wipes a Vaseline ribbon along her friend’s hairline, framing her face with a shiny outline. Next, she begins placing wet, pre-cut strips of a material resembling cloth bandages or mummy wrappings inside the shiny perimeter, across her friend’s forehead and around her eyes, nose and mouth.
