Rainy Day Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures

The Lower School regularly meets and departs from the Farmhouse Bus Stop Area. Students should never be dropped off and left alone at the bus stop,  in a classroom area or at the Upper Campus.

During heavy rains, our PreK-2nd grades students will go directly to their classrooms and grades 3-5 will board a bus to take them to the Courtside Campus.

In the Morning:
Pre/K:  For carpool parents -Children should be taken to the covered archway at the preschool stairs. Teachers will greet them there.

For bus riders -A teacher will meet and walk them over to the classroom immediately.

Grades 1-5:  For carpool parents- Teachers will meet them at the shed and 1st and 2nd graders will go to their classrooms as soon as the bus arrives.  Grades 3, 4 and 5 will load onto one bus, as well as any 1st and 2nd graders who have PE, Art or Science lab first period that day.

In the Afternoon:

Pre/K:  For carpool parents -Children will be picked up at the covered archway at the bottom of the stairs. A teacher will wait with them there.

For bus riders- Teachers will walk them over to the bus shed and load them on the bus. 

Grades1-5:   All students in grades 3-5, (and any 1st/2nd who are in lower campus at the end of the day), will be picked up by bus and driven to the Farmhouse bus stop area. Please wait for students at the bus stop area, rather than driving to classrooms. It makes for a confusing dismissal if teachers don't know who has left with their parents from the Courtside area.

If you arrive at school after 3:25 on any day, PreK students will return to their classroom with a teacher until you arrive.  First - Fifth grade students will ride to the Upper Campus on the bus and wait for you in the School Office.
