High School Athlete Earn $2,500 Scholarship

MaxPreps and the Army National Guard are pleased to announce the second annual Citizen Athlete program. This program is designed to encourage outstanding citizenship from high school student athletes. The awards are based on four main areas of life: community service, academics, athletics and school involvement. While the recipients of this award may not be the often-heralded MVP on their athletic team, they are MVPs in life… making a positive difference in all they do. Ten winners will be selected to receive a $2,500 scholarship! The program has two parts: nomination & voting. Please read the Official Rules.

Nomination:
Anyone can submit a nomination for any 2010-11 high school athlete on MaxPreps.  Nominations will be accepted through March 17, 2011.

Voting:
After the ten Citizen Athletes have been announced on April 12, 2011, come back and vote for your favorite male and favorite female. The winners will be crowned National Citizen Athlete and earn their schools an extra $500 for their outstanding citizenship.
